I'll try to keep this outing short lest I risk losing all my credibility of being a metal aficionado. Needless to say, I have thought long enough about featuring this album but decided to go about it anyway.
You see, this is a record which I think stands in the synth pop genre. I couldn't be sure since I don't really listen to this type of music. However, what I heard here are the kind of beats that would be best played in one of the following circumstances:
1: You either need some cool songs to feature on the next score for a Twilight saga installment or
2: You are a latino drug lord and you need to hire a band (in this case a one man project) to handle musical duties on your daughter's quinceanera party.
Whichever the case, Twin Shadow is not something I would plant on Stash if it weren't for one song, aptly named "To The Top", that just happens to plod along as if it were the featured power anthem plucked from an 80's flavored rock band. You know, pretty much like a toned down version of Aerosmith, only without all the bombastic instrumentals and crazy vocals.
With this said, should you be kind enough and stop after giving a listen to this song then I applaud you honestly; however, if you really desire more Twin Shadow maybe it's best you follow these links here.
Be warned though, you're stepping into the dark side and no, they don't offer any cookies.
